What is new at Halloween Horror Nights this year?
There are more mazes than ever this year, featuring 8 terrifying mazes including FX's American Horror Story: Roanoke, Stanley Kubrick's The Shining, Ash vs Evil Dead, Titans of Terror, SAW: The Games of Jigsaw, The Horrors of Blumhouse, Insidious: Beyond the Further and AMC's The Walking Dead Attraction. There are new scare zones awaiting you around every dark corner and an all-new Titans of Terror Tram hosted by Chucky. Plus, there's an all-new live show featuring the high-energy theatrics of Jabbawockeez.
What is Halloween Horror Nights?
Halloween Horror Nights is a specially ticketed, nighttime event at Universal Studios Hollywood. On select nights from September to November, Universal Studios Hollywood is transformed into L.A.'s most terrifying Halloween experience, filled with walk-through maze attractions, intense scare zones, a mind-blowing live show, and high-octane rides and attractions.
What are the event dates?

What time does the event begin?
Event starts at 7:00 pm.
However, you can take advantage of Early Entry, which allows early access to select mazes. We recommend you arrive at Universal Studios Hollywood by 5:00pm to enjoy Early Entry. Select mazes will begin opening at 5:15pm. The event gates usually open half an hour early and the majority of guests are waiting at the gate to get in.
What time does early entry begin?
Arrive ahead of time to enjoy 5pm Early Entry at no extra charge! Select mazes will begin opening at 5:15pm.
Is there anything that closes early?
The Terror Tram Line closes at 11:15pm on Halloween Night, Wednesday, Thursdays & Sundays and 11:45pm on Fridays & Saturdays. Plan your night accordingly so you don't miss the Terror Tram experience.
Where is Universal Studios Hollywood located?
We are conveniently located right off the 101 (Hollywood) Freeway, approximately ten minutes north of Downtown Los Angeles. Exit either Universal Studios Boulevard or Lankershim Blvd.

Is there an age minimum for the event?
There is no age minimum for the event. However, this event is recommended for mature audiences only and not recommended for children under 13. They will be exposed to extremely adult material. There are no refunds for this event.
What are the best nights to attend?
Enjoy the best discounts and shorter wait times on Thursdays and Sundays.
Can I wear a costume or mask/make-up?
Costumes, masks, face paint or make-up are not permitted at the event. Guests wearing costumes will be turned away at the front gate.
Can I leave the event and come back later in the evening?
Sorry, re-entries are not permitted.
Are you using the trams and the studio backlot?
Yes, guests will take the Terror Tram to the Universal backlot and will disembark to walk among some of the scariest sets on the backlot.
If it rains, will the event be cancelled?
Will the regular rides and attractions be open?
Several of Universal Studios Hollywood's favorite rides and attractions will remain open for the nighttime Halloween Horror Nights experience. Specifically, Transformers: The Ride - 3D, Jurassic Park® - In the Dark, The Simpsons Ride, and Revenge of the Mummy℠- The Ride.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, The Studio Tour featuring Fast & Furious - Supercharged, Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem, WaterWorld®, Special Effects Show, Universal's Animal Actors, Shrek 4-D and will not be open during this event.

Where can I buy tickets?
You can purchase tickets online. Discounted tickets are available online if you purchase in advance for many of the event nights. We recommend you get your tickets early, as they will sell out.

Your ticket is only good for admission to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, in Los Angeles.
How can I cut to the front of the lines?
Which attractions will I have Front of Line access to with the After 2PM Day/Night Combo Front of Line Ticket?
You can enjoy One-Time Front of Line access to all daytime attractions during the day, PLUS One-Time Front of Line access to all nighttime attractions at Halloween Horror Nights. For attractions available both during the day and night, you will have Front of Line access to these attractions once during the day and once at night.
I purchased the Front of Line Ticket online. Where do I pick up my pass/credential?
Guests with a Front of Line Ticket or After 2PM Day/Night Combo with Front of Line, pick up your credential at the front gate turnstiles.
Is there a VIP Experience this year?
New for 2017 is the R.I.P. Tour - the ultimate way to experience the terror of Halloween Horror Nights. The R.I.P. Tour includes UNLIMITED front of the line access to all mazes and rides, a gourmet dinner buffet in our VIP Dining Room, an exclusive guided VIP walking tour, reserved VIP seating at the Jabbawockeez live show, complimentary valet parking and VIP entrance to the Park. Is Halloween Horror Nights admission free for Pass Members?
Platinum Annual Pass Members are entitled to one free General Admission ticket to Halloween Horror Nights (per Pass). To redeem, just present your valid Platinum Annual Pass at any Universal Studios Hollywood Front Gate turnstile on any one of the following dates: Sept. 28, Oct. 5, 12, 15, 19, 20, 22, 25, 26, 27, 29, 31, Nov. 2, 3, 4. All other Annual and Season pass members must purchase a separate Halloween Horror Nights ticket as this is a specially ticketed event. However, there are discounted Halloween Horror Nights tickets available for purchase by Pass Members only.

Will there be food available at the event?
Yes. Bring your appetite because many of the theme park's restaurants will be offering goodies to kill your hunger pangs.
Can I bring food and drinks into the park?
Sorry, no outside food or beverages are allowed inside Universal Studios Hollywood.
Are CityWalk restaurants offering discounts?
Yes, most quick service and select restaurants are offering discounts or free-with-purchase deals.
Is alcohol served at the event?
Alcohol may be served at select locations during certain hours, subject to availability. Outside drinks not permitted at Universal Studios Hollywood during Halloween Horror Nights.

How does daylight savings time affect Halloween Horror Nights?
It does not affect the event. Daylight savings time ends at 2:00am November 5, at which time the park will close.
Are there any restrictions to going through the mazes?
Mazes contain loud sounds, sudden movements, and effects which may be too intense for children. Parental discretion advised. Persons with the following conditions should not experience mazes:
How do you accommodate guests with disabilities?
Universal Studios Hollywood prides itself on providing complete and convenient access for all our guests with disabilities. Many rides, attractions, escalators and parking structures are designed to comfortably accommodate guests in wheelchairs and other disabilities. There are designated guests-with-disabilities entrances for all our attractions in the park.

How do you accommodate guests with hearing impairments?
With one week notice, sign language interpreting services will be made available at no charge. To arrange for sign language interpreting services, please go to www.universalstudioshollywood.com/contact-us, and select "Topic: Your Visit to Universal Studios Hollywood". Please complete the form to include your date of visit and number of guests in your party and we will be in touch in 1-2 business days.
Are service animals allowed in the park?
Service animals are permitted into our event. Guests with service animals should see attendant for further assistance.Service Animals are welcome in all of our restaurant and merchandise locations, attraction queues and most other locations throughout Universal Studios Hollywood.
Additionally, there are specific entry/boarding requirements for each attraction and maze to assist the service animal's owner in making an informed decision about their animal's safe admission. Please consult the listing for each ride and attraction in our Rider's Guide for Rider Safety and Guests with Disabilities or our designated entrance signs for more information.
How do you accommodate guests who require mobility assistance?
Guests may remain in standard wheelchair throughout. Guests using Electric Convenience Vehicle should see attendant for assistance.
Wheelchair and ECV's (Electric Convenience Vehicle) rentals are available for rent just inside the park, across from the Universal Studios Store. The rental fees are: Wheelchairs - $15; ECVs - $60. There is a $25.00 refundable deposit fee for wheelchair rentals.
How do you accommodate guests with oxygen tanks?
Oxygen tanks can be brought with you at some of our attractions and mazes. However, due to the dramatic movement of the ride vehicles and certain flame effects at Universal Studios Hollywood, oxygen tanks are not permitted at the following locations:

Is there security or police on property?
For the safety and convenience of our guests, Universal Studios Hollywood has a Los Angeles Sheriff's Department Sub-Station on premise at Universal CityWalk Center Court.
