What is new at Halloween Horror Nights 2014?
7 brand new mazes including The Walking Dead, Alien vs. Predator, Dracula Untold, From Dusk Till Dawn, An American Werewolf in London, Clowns 3D, and Face Off. There are 5 new scare zones which include The Walking Dead, The Purge: Anarchy, Mask-A-Raid, Dark Christmas, and Skullz. Plus, there will be an all-new Terror Tram: Invaded by The Walking Dead.
What is Halloween Horror Nights?
Halloween Horror Nights is a specially ticketed, nighttime event at Universal Studios Hollywood. For 22 nights from September to November, Universal Studios Hollywood is transformed into L.A.'s most terrifying Halloween experience, filled with haunted walk-through attractions, intense scare zones, roaming scare-actors, and nightmare-inducing rides and attractions.
What are the event dates?
All 2014 event dates have ended. See you in 2015!
What time does the event begin?
Event starts at 7:00 p.m.
We recommend you arrive at Universal Studios Hollywood before 5:00pm if possible. The event gates usually open half an hour early, and the majority of guests are waiting at the gate to get in.
Is there anything that closes early?
The Terror Tram line closes at 11:15pm on Thursdays & Sundays and 11:45pm on Fridays & Saturdays.
Where is Universal Studios Hollywood located?
We are conveniently located right off the 101 (Hollywood) Freeway, approximately ten minutes north of Downtown Los Angeles. Exit either Universal Studios Boulevard or Lankershim Blvd.

Is there an age minimum for the event?
No. However, this event is recommended for mature audiences only. We strongly urge parents with children under the age of 13 to reconsider visiting this event with their children. They will be exposed to extremely adult material. There are no refunds for this event.
What are the best nights to attend?
Avoid the crowds and go on a Thursday or Sunday night.
Can I wear a costume or mask/make-up?
No. Costumes, masks or make-up are not permitted at the event. Guests wearing costumes will be turned away at the front gate.
Can I leave the event and come back later in the evening?
Sorry, re-entries are not permitted.
Are you using the trams and the studio backlot?
Yes, guests will take the Terror Tram to the Universal Backlot and will disembark to walk among some of the scariest sets on the backlot.
If it rains, will the event be cancelled?
Will the regular rides and attractions be open?
Universal Studios Hollywood's favorite rides and attractions will remain open for the nighttime Halloween Horror Nights experience. Specifically, Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem, Transformers: The Ride - 3D, Jurassic Park (in the dark), The Simpsons Ride, and Revenge of the Mummy.
Where can I buy tickets?
You can purchase tickets online. Discounted tickets are available online if you purchase in advance for many of the event nights. We recommend you get your tickets early, as they will sell out.

Are there any special college or corporate discounts?
Yes, check with your college ticketing office or corporate employee services department.
Does my daytime park admission allow me to stay for HHN?
No, unless it's a "Day/Night Combo" ticket that includes daytime admission to Universal Studios Hollywood PLUS same-day evening admission to the Halloween Horror Nights event. Visit Tickets page for more info.
Are tickets refundable?
Sorry, no refunds will be available for this event.
Is my ticket also good for the Halloween event at Universal Orlando?
No. Your ticket is only good for admission to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, in Los Angeles.
How can I cut to the front of the lines?
By purchasing a Front of Line pass. Quantities are very limited so purchase them early. They will sell out. You can purchase them online. These passes include admission to the event.
I purchased the Front of Line Pass online. Where do I pick up my pass/credential?
Bring your Print@Home ticket to the front gate turnstiles on the event night and you will receive your pass/credential.
What is the VIP Experience and what does it include?
The VIP Experience is the ultimate way to experience the terror of Halloween Horror Nights. It includes valet parking, a delicious dinner buffet in our exclusive VIP Horror Lounge, special access to a VIP-only experience and UNLIMITED front of the line access to all mazes and attractions. Is Halloween Horror Nights admission free for Annual Pass Members?
No, it is not. Halloween Horror Nights is a specially ticketed event. However, there are discounted Halloween Horror Nights tickets available for purchase by Annual Pass Members only.
Will there be food available at the event?
Yes. Bring your appetite because many of the theme park's restaurants will be offering gruesome goodies to kill your hunger pangs.
Can I bring food and drinks into the park?
Sorry, no outside food or beverages are allowed.
Are CityWalk restaurants offering discounts?
Yes, most quick service and select restaurants are offering discounts or free-with-purchase deals.
Is alcohol served at the event?
No, alcohol will not be served nor permitted at Universal Studios Hollywood during Halloween Horror Nights.

How does daylight savings time affect Halloween Horror Nights?
It does not affect the event, daylight savings time ends at 2:00am November 2, at which time the park will close.
Are there any restrictions to going through the mazes?
Mazes contain loud sounds, sudden movements, and effects which may be too intense for children. Parental discretion advised. Persons with the following conditions should not experience mazes:

Are service animals allowed in the park?
Service animals are permitted into our event. Guests with service animals should see attendant for further assistance.Service Animals are welcome in all of our restaurant and merchandise locations, attraction queues and most other locations throughout Universal Studios Hollywood.
Additionally, there are specific entry/boarding requirements for each attraction and maze to assist the service animal's owner in making an informed decision about their animal's safe admission. How do you accommodate guests who require mobility assistance?
Guests may remain in standard wheelchair throughout. Guests using Electric Convenience Vehicle should see attendant for assistance.Wheelchair and ECV's (Electric Convenience Vehicle) rentals are available for rent just inside the park, across from the Universal Studios Store. The rental fees are: Wheelchairs - $15; ECVs - $50. There is a $25.00 refundable deposit fee for wheelchair rentals.
How do you accommodate guests with oxygen tanks?
Oxygen tanks can be brought with you at some of our attractions and mazes. However, due to the dramatic movement of the ride vehicles and certain flame effects at Universal Studios Hollywood, oxygen tanks are not permitted at the following locations:
